NY: Inner Traditions, ND (circa 1980s ?). A large (21" high x 29" wide) full colour print depicting the famous scene of the weighing of the soul from a relief in one of the shrines at the Temple of Ptolemy IV at Deir-el-Medina. The Deir-el-Medina relief is arguably one of the most complete and beautiful of the surviving depictions of psychostasis in Egyptian art. We recently discovered half-a-dozen of these prints - which probably date from the 1990s - in a store-room cupboard. They are basically new, but have a hint of rubbing and darkening around the edges, and some have a few marks or tiny tears in the margins. There may also be a little unobtrusive creasing. Still overall VG + condition. Bookseller Inventory #
