About this title

The written word was once considered a sacred set of symbols imbued with magical energy, that once uttered unleashed its power into one’s environment. For those without some psychic faculty the written word does nothing but convey a message. To those with psychic ability, well beyond common Clairvoyance, the written word is like a recording. Once its characters are enveloped by electricity, a reaction influences an event in the environment, a magical effect. In my experiments with an understudied ability I called Chronokinesis, I discovered how to replicate the magical effects used by Ancient Egyptian Scribes and Priests. The names of their “gods” were Words of Power; their gods were personifications of Natural Forces, one per each action. Each name contains a certain power that is unlocked when used in a magical expression, or meditated upon (thought about deeply). When worshiped, each god name was given Energy by the people. This Energy is released to influence some effect; like the word for Sun was “Ra”, or the word for wind was “Amun.” When people worship Amun-Ra the result is sunny and windy weather for that day. If one says or writes “cool” too many times in one week, the result is of course “cool weather”; at the time of this writing I had used that word, and Snow was expected in California the next day (California does not have Snow at sea level; 2.23.2011). For this book I have selected to utilize hieroglyphs for meditation purposes, one set of enlarged glyphs of meditation with accompanying description. Ptah was the Egyptian Creator who created by divine utterance, by the spoken words of power, and from dreaming. He opens the Doors of Heaven to allow the Sun, Ra, to enter the new day; and he opens the mouths of the deceased to restore their senses for the new life. Ptah is shown as a mummy in male adult form, more ancient than Osiris. Horus was the voice of Ptah, and his image upon the Earth.

About the Author:

Horus Ptahmeses has studied Ancient Egyptian Magic for over 23 years, Archaeology for 20 years, and has founded numerous Egyptian cultural and religious websites online since 2000 CE. In keeping with the nature of Ptah, most evidence about the author tends to “disappear” for a mysterious reason, causing people to believe that he never existed. This included past publishers, schools, names of organizations, businesses, people, and other traces of his existence. He currently lives in California, USA and has no plans to travel to Egypt until the current government (uprising in early 2011) there is stable.
