A very good copy of the quarter-leather, hard cover edition, lacking a dust-jacket, no doubt as issued. Stated Second, Revised Edition (1842: MDCCCXLII). Previous owner's modest bookplate (name only) atop front endpaper.The text is wholly unmarked, pristine, and the binding still amazingly bright and fresh in appearance, with some evident rubbing to the leathered corners and spine seams. No damage to the gutters, thus no wobble to the boards. A beautiful copy.
