Bibliographic Details

Title: The Quest of the Antique

Publisher: Dodd, Mead & Company, New York

Publication Date: 1924

Binding: Hardcover

Book Condition: Good

Dust Jacket Condition: Good

First American edition of Mrs. Hodgson's charmingly personal book. A few of the chapter titles: "The Quest", "The Wig, the Shoe, and the Corset of Other Days","Shakespeare and his Characters in Pottery and Porcelain", "Fraud in Old China", "Fraud in Old Glass", "Gleanings from an Old Book of Recipes". Illustrated with color plates and black and white photographs. Bright red boards with gilt. Small discoloration at top of spine. Back joint somewhat loose but intact. Staining of endpapers due to long-ago laid-in something. Dust jacket has some tears and soiling. Will require some extra shipping costs, and, to our regret, is not available for international orders due to exorbitant shipping fees. Bookseller Inventory # 000180
