Contains "The Diverting History of John Gilpin," "The House That Jack Built," "An Elegy on the Death of a Mad Dog," and "The Babes in the Wood." Circa the late 19th century. Book complete but well loved by many children. Considerable fray and rub wear around board extremities, only pieces of the spine left. Library stamp on fixed front end paper, free front end paper and title page in the process of asserting their independence from the rest of the book but still hanging in there. A few stamps on verso of title page, some paper residue on rear end paper. There is a rusted paper clip on the title page of "The House That Jack Built" as well as rust on paper areas surrounding the paper clip. Rear hinge mostly separated, which Kaleidoscope will happily glue upon request. Distinctive style front cover board still attractive, pages clean and beautiful. Bookseller Inventory #
