Limited to 250 copies of which this is one of 40 copies bound in boards and containing a signed engraving by Miriaim Macgregor and an engraving by Edward Walters , who was in charge of the Marlborough College Press 1942-6. This print is one of a number of his blocks found discarded at the Press about 1958, and now at Whittington. Miriam Macgregor, Edward Walters (illustrator). 1st Edition. 22x16cm, 6pp. With two wood engravings by Macgregor and Walters, and a further two laid-in wood engravings, one signed by Macgregor and one unsigned by Walters, printed in black. Copy 26 of 40 (250), sewn-in to brown boards with a brown handmade paper wrapper with a small engraving in red to the front cover, in a maroon paper sleeve. John Randle's personal account of his introduction to printing while a pupil at Marlborough College. Edward Walters was in charge of the Marlborough College Press from 1942-46 and the two prints by him are from discarded blocks found at the Press around 1958. A very handsome and popular small scale production from Whittington, particularly in the special version as here with the extra engravings.
