303 pp., frontispiece and 8 plates with tissue guards; 8vo, original burgundy cloth. First English translation of the French text originally published in London in 1702. This copy with the Barnes & Noble dustjacket, as described in Clark and Brunet #151: "In 1940 Barnes and Noble purchased 461 copies at one-half cost. A dust jacket was prepared . . . at the bottom of the [jacket] front cover and spine 'Barnes & Noble, Inc. is printed." Total edition was 966 copies. Small stain to front free endpaper, else very good in moderately edgeworn dustjacket. Bookseller Inventory # 20804

We utilize the $30.00 Priority Mail International flat-rate mailer (4 lbs maximum weight) when we can adequately protect the book within. Oversize books will in most cases cost a minimum of $50.00 to ship overseas. The ABE default shipping rates are based on orders for 1 book at a maximum weight of 2.2 pounds. In many cases (large books, sets, insurance) this does not reflect the actual shipping cost. We will request additional shipping compensation through the Abebooks system when necessary.
