1st. edition stated, fine+ in blue cloth boards, white print on the front and spine. Very minor edge and corner wear, slightest of spine slant, otherwise like new. Panoramic pictorial dust jacket has tiny chips, small closed tears, light edge and corner wear, worn and rubbed particularly on the back. Generally a fine+ copy in a good+ jacket. During 31 years at sea the Queen Mary carried more than three million luxury passengers, 800,000 American servicemen and thousands of war brides and their offspring. At 81,237 tons, she was larger than life. Many of the personal stories of those who came to love her are documented in the Queen of the Queens. From the drawing boards to her last voyage her life is chronicled in this biography of a ship that epitimized the "Ocean Liner". It is unlikely that ships of her type and size will ever be built again, truly she represents the end of an era. Bookseller Inventory # 000744
