Title: A ROOM IN CHELSEA SQUARE
Publication Date: 1959
Dust Jacket Condition: Dust Jacket Included
Edition: First Edition.
A ROOM IN CHELSEA SQUARE, Doubleday, 1959, first American edition (second printing ???), covers a bit bowed, else a bright vg+ copy in a vg Edward Gorey color pictorial dust-wrapper with obvious soiling to some of the white portions of the dust-wrapper. A brilliant biting satire of present day (late '50's) London bohemia. A gay novel. (As works of 20th century fiction published anonymously rarely, if ever, have a later printing, this may indeed be a publishers anomaly as we have been unable to ascertain the usual Doubleday text in any other copy of this title which as a book first published in the U.K. normally would read "First Edition Printed in the United States" as the last line on the copyright page. Our copy and any copies we were able to locate simply state "Printed in the United States"). Bookseller Inventory # 11282
