About this Item
*** BOOK This is a fine example of the art of bookbinding; Ruled calf boards, six panel spine, all with gilt decoration, and gilt tile in pale maroon label on spine, all edges gilt, endpapers marbled. On the upper board is the panel of the Edinburgh Upper Ward of Lanarkshire Association, and on the front pastedown a Prize sticker dated 1892. 484 Pages. This appears to be a collection of articles, histories and stories, the longest of which is Horae Subsecivae (Leisure Hours) - a letter to John Cairns. There is an article from "The Perthshire News" dated May 10 1985 about Rab, a very large dog. Seller Inventory # 007672
