Wise & Company, New York. 13 big and attractive volumes in faux half-leather and cloth-bound boards, each 9 1/2" x 6 5/8". No ISBN. A detailed history of America from the first stirrings of westward expansion from the Iberian peninsula, all the way to American Expansion overseas and the establishment of the American Empire. Splendid color Frontis in each; beautiful illustrations. The boards are clean, but for a single spot, 3/16" on two and a half-dozen spots, 1/8", on one. There is wear to the spine-ends. The books are well bound, with tight clean strong hinges. The hinges are NOT started. No looseness, No dogears, No mustiness, No smoke smell. The hinges have NOT started.
