Fr. Rico, an Oratorian, describes the memorial services in Lima on the occasion of the death of King Carlos III, as well as the commemorative art work and its Latin-language epigraphs. Fray Bernardon Rueda's "Oracion funebre que en las solemnes exequias del Rey nuestro se?or don Carlos III" has a sectional title-page and its own pagination; the folding plate is of the funeral monument erected in the king's memory. Rare: WorldCat locates only two copies in the U.S. An important source on the social and artistic life of Lima in the decade following the Tupac Amaru rebellion. Folio.
