Ten staple-bound leaves (203 x 254 mm), typed on the recto only, with manuscript corrections in pencil and ink. A pencil notation indicates that this story may have been a submission to the Bermondsey Book literary magazine, edited by Frederick Heath and published December 1923 to May 1930, however, we find no record of publication. Harold Alfred Manhood (1904-1991), is the author of the short story collections, "Nightseed and other Tales" (1928), "Apples by Night" (1932) and "Fierce and Gentle" (1935). His novel "Gay Agony" was published in 1930. And he contributed 97 tales to the Evening News between 1934 and 1964.
