Spine covering is missing completely. Black and white plates. Stamp of entomologist H T Fernald to title page; his bookplate to front pastedown. Minor thumb marking, foxing and tanning to pages. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Heavy creases to many pages. Moderate cracking to gutters and rear hinge causing some noticeable looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Boards have moderate corner bumping and edge-wear with heavy tanning, chipping and scuffing overall. Spine has heavier staining and tanning with prominent loss and crushing to ends.
