Reliure demi-chagrin vert fonc�, dos � nerfs, caissons orn�s de cadre � froid, 378 pp., illustr� d'une gravure en frontispice repr�sentant la statue de Pothier � Orl�ans et d'un fac-simil� repli� d'une lettre sur deux pages de Pothier dat�e du mois d'ao�t 1739, notes, table. Exemplaire en bon �tat. Robert Pothier (1699-1772) est un jurisconsulte orl�annais dont l uvre fondatrice a inspir� notamment les r�dacteurs du "Code civil des Fran�ais" dit "Code Napol�on", ainsi que les juristes am�ricains du XVIIIe si�cle. Sa statue, bronze du sculpteur Vital-Dubray (1813-1892), sera envoy�e � la fonte sous le r�gime de Vichy.
