Original Hardcover with the extremely rare, original dustjacket in protective collector's mylar. Excellent condition with only minor signs of wear. With a Bookplate to the endpaper, identifying this copy as a Presentation-copy from the "Friends of Irish Freedom - New York", presented to the Library of the Sisters of Mercy Schools in Macroom (County Cork). John Devoy wrote in a printed dedication of page two in this Volume: "To my departed comrades of the I.R.B. in Loving Memory of their Services and Sacrifices in the Cause of the Irish republic which the "virtually established" and for which i have worked to the best of my ability and judgment for sixty-seven years of my own life."
