Hardback. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 120 pages; photo of author and wife, frontispiece; this native Philadelphian reviews his life--Princeton, Army in WWI, Law School, his career as a Philadelphia lawyer--which was successful enough so that he served in many of the city's cultural organizations. Among the celebrities he met over the years were: Henry Moore, Woodrow Wilson, Alfred E. Smith, Ernest Hemingway, and Sir Winston Churchill; and he has written his impression of 15 of these memorable characters. Book condition: Top edge has some minor pale foxing, the other two--only minor traces; Clear plastic dj rear panel has a major tear at the lower fold corner (2.5 inch) and a 0.5 inch tear at the top corner; also circa 1.5 sq.in. area plastic loss on the bottom edge; otherwise, book is in nice condition.
