The first three volumes of records from the town of Plymouth, Massachusetts, published on order of the town and containing the proceedings of the various town meetings and business from 1636-1783. This includes many mentions of various citizens, discussions of land grants and transfers, town governing, etc. Volumes 1 and 3 in GOOD+ condition. Volume 2 in POOR/FAIR condition. General fading, minor soiling and scuffing to volumes 1 and 3. Minor bumping and scuffing along their extremities. Remains of white paper present along the rear hinge and lower edge of volume 3. Interiors clean and solid with browning to the paper. Volume 2 has the front wrap and first two leaves DETACHED. Dampstaining present along the hinge and left portions of the upper and lower extremities to both covers and spine (reversing locales on the rear cover). This very slightly affects the interior along the extremities. Some spotting, soiling and staining to the wraps. Scuffing and minor chipping along the extremities. Heavy creasing to the spine, with heavy chipping and some loss to the head and tail. Text block solid, but browned. Detached pages with some chipping at the fore edge. Bookseller Inventory #
