Synopsis: In this first book of poems, Sarah Louise Yagi brings forth a lifetime of feelings and remembrances as well as thoughts for the future and a lifetime of no regrets. The passions of life, love, disillusionment and joie de vivre fill its pages. Inspirational messages will warm your heart and make you take pause as you look back on your own Reflections from the Pool of Life .
About the Author: Sarah Louise Yagi is the author of three volumes of poetry, Reflections from the Pool of Life, Romantic Moments and her latest book, Poetic Potpourri. Currently, she is Language and Cultural Consultant for the Hotel New Otani Osaka and a freelance editor and rewriter for manuscripts in English by native Japanese researchers. Sarah realized only several years ago that her passion lay in writing poetry and sharing her poems with her friends and anyone who would find relaxation, joy, hope and peace in reading her work. She has been recognized with a Quality Seal by FanStory.com, which ranks her as a professional on that site. She posts her poems from time to time on several internet sites, but can most often be found at The Open Mike Café, offering her comments to authors and sharing information on publishing and marketing with them. She is also a regular contributor to the TJMF Publishing Newsletter. Sarah grew up in a small town southwest of Pittsburgh, although for the past many years, she has lived in Osaka, Japan with her husband, professor emeritus of Kyoto Prefecture Medical University, whom she met during graduate school at Notre Dame University. They taught there for one year in the Mathematics Department and married during semester break. Six months later, they left for Japan, where they have been living ever since, although in recent years, she spends several months each year in her hometown. She has two sons, both married, two lovely daughters-in-law and a granddaughter, all of whom appear from time to time in her poems, as do others among her family members, along with friends from around the world. To read her poetry is to become acquainted with them, as well as with some of the characters born in her imagination. Sarah has had several of her works published in books by Forward Press.Co.UK, among them Non-cents , which appeared in 'A Pocketful of Fun: A Collection of Poems for Children' and Maasai Mara , written after her visit to Kenya last summer and included in 'A Poet's Paradise - A Special Place'. Her poem Silence appeared in the Discovery Issue (May, 2007) of the Scorched Earth Publishing.Com s e-zine. Sarah s greatest pleasure is reading for her friends and local groups whenever and wherever the opportunity presents itself. She can be located through TJMF Publishing.com and would welcome the chance to read for you or hear your feedback or comments re her poetry.
