Der Amsterdamer Verleger, Kupferstecher, Kartograph und Globenmacher Gerard Valk (1652-1726) war von 1672-76 in London t�tig, kehrte dann nach Amsterdam zur�ck und begann 1680 seine Zusammenarbeit mit dem deutschen Kupferstecher Petrus Schenk, u.a. erwarben sie die Kupferplatten f�r Janssonius' 'Novus Atlas'.- Prachtvolle gro�formatige und sehr detailreiche Karte der Iberischen Halbinsel mit Spanien und Portugal.- Mit figurativer allegorischer Titelkartusche unten rechts, Widmungskartusche in Form eines L�wenfelles unten links, kleiner Legende in niederl�ndischer Sprache, Meilenzeiger sowie einer kleinen Inset-Karte von Menorca.- Gefaltet.- Spain - 'Regna Hispaniarum atque Portugalliae: Ex recenti, summa cura, Et vario punctorum charactere, Suas in Provincias, Territoria et Dioeceses; Geographice, Politice, Ecclesiastice. The Amsterdam publisher, engraver, cartographer and globe maker Gerard Valk (1652-1726) was active in London from 1672-76, then returned to Amsterdam and began his collaboration with the German engraver Petrus Schenk in 1680, among other things they acquired the copper plates for Janssonius' 'Novus Atlas'.- Magnificent large-format and very detailed map of the Iberian Peninsula with Spain and Portugal.
