Full original color engraving. Sheet size: 21 1/8 x 37 1/4". Inventory#: p365pmat. This large-scale, finely-engraved map shows the Middle East from the eastern Mediterranean to modern-day Pakistan. The map is specifically designed to show the Persian Empire as it was in the early eighteenth century, and the neighboring Asian provinces of the Ottoman Empire (present-day Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, and Israel). The map also shows the Trans-Caucasus region, recently liberated from the Soviet Union, and now forming the independent nations of Georgia, Armenia and Azerbadzhan. The Trans-Caucasus was divided between Persia and the Ottomans when the Ottens made their map. 0. Bookseller Inventory # 000366
