Believed originally issued by the publisher as a paperback, this copy rebound as a hardback in custom binding. Quarter-bound in vellum, with title stamped in crisp gilt to the spine. Boards handsomely bound in green cloth with a design evocative of Art Deco. Light rubbing to the binding. Scarcely bumped spine head and tail, and with fairly sharp corners. Lovely marbled endpapers. 91 numbered pages. Title page handsomely printed in blue and black ink. Deckled fore and bottom edges to a handsome effect. Moderate foxing to the first several and last several pages. Note the handsome and simple ex libris sticker of Cesare Malfatti affixed to the front FEP. Else very clean, inside and out. Gently read.
