Rare biography of Wadhams, the first Bishop of Ogdensburg, a major figure in the establishment of schools, churches, and Christianity in the area of Northern New York and the Thousand Islands. He was born in 1817, and served as Bishop from 1872 to 1891. Wadhams Hall Seminary in Ogdensburg, one of a handful of college-level seminaries in the U.S., was named after him. In very good condition overall - ex-library copy with one stamp (crossed out) to front free endpaper, otherwise clean and unmarked. Front hinge slightly cracked, though binding still firm.
