Two publications bound in one quarto sized volume in green buckram cloth with spine lettered in gilt. The Diurnal Lepidoptra is sequentially paginated pp. 739- 794 and also contains color plates XXXV- XXXIX of examples of butterflies. The Synopsis is a stand alone publications, original printed front wrapper bound in, 52 pp. The covers have some shelf wear about the edges but the interiors, incuding the color plates, are clean. The original "Collections" was issued as 15 separate issues published over the period of a few years. On the rare occasions that any of these appears, they are usually found in individual parts.
