Shanghai: Tusewei Printing Press, 1914. 8ov. 155 p. VG/No jacket as issued. 3/4 paper-covered boards over red cloth. Bound with string as issued. Ex-library. Call # to spine. Spine also has chipping to top and bottom. Boards are rubbed, but in very good shape besides back board being bumped on edge. Red speckled page edges. "Medical Mission Sisters Phila, PA" stamped on title page, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked. Back pastedown has pocket and old library card still present. Check our other auctions for other volumes from this set. This is part 1, Vol. 1 of a seven volume set of books first published in French that explore Chinese superstitions in regards to spirituality. Profusely illustrated with beautiful colored plates. Johnson's liquidation, as well as a collection rare jazz records, including 100's of Boogie Woogie and BeBop '78s, And much more, just ask. I was previously established as The Book Merchants, the Philadelphia's Riverside Book Fair and 30th Street Station Book Fair. In 1991 I purchased the stock of Samuel Kleinman's legendary Schuylkill Book and Curio Shop of 4207 Lancaster Ave., Phila. PA.
