[4], XVIII, 19-340 pages. 8vo. Handsomely bound in older 1/2 brown morocco over marbled boards; simple gilt-lettered spine with raised bands; marbled endpapers. Paris: J.-Ch. Laveaux, et al., An VIII [1799/1800]. A near fine copy, quite clean and in an attractive binding. Very scarce. OCLC lists only 6 copies including those at Harvard, Yale & Biblioteque Nationale de France. A precursor of Romanticism, inspired by Rousseau. This is the first complete edition.
