Edition limited to 270 copies, folio, pp. [3]-21, [39]; printed in red and black; 2 tipped-in illustrations, 41 other illustrations printed directly from the blocks; original quarter ochre cloth over Claire Maziarczyk paste-paper covered boards, printed paper label on spine; fine in publisher's slipcase. The Bembo type was set by Geoffrey Bamford and Jonathan Stevenson at the Rocket Press. Yellow cloth bound hardcover book with patterned paper overlay and a heavy cardboard slipcover. Handmade, and the title on the spine is made from heavy paper and glued on. (9), 9-21, (62) pp. Contains both illustrations and tipped-in plates. Deckled edges. A collection of the work of Reynolds Stone, written by his assistant of several years, with his original blocks used to reproduce his almost all of his work throughout the book. Stone's work included engraved wood-blocks, letterings, designs, and watercolors, among other things. All the blocks are hand-printed off an 1853 Albion hand press, which took 392 hours.
