Original decorated board with tan cloth on spine. 5 1/2 X 8 inches. 153 pages. Raised bands. Written on the first page is, "From the books of Ellen Galpin, December 1908". Galpin was a Southern California actress, known for her Shakespearian roles and writer of children's fairy plays. Along with this signature is a drawing of a scarab. Ibsen (1828-1906) was a Norwegian playwright, theatre director and poet and is often ranked as one of the truly great playwrights in the European tradition. Copy has a black and white portrait of Mansfield (frontispiece). Edges and covers are lightly rubbed. Copy is clean and complete. Binding is tight. Bookseller Inventory # 018346
