About this title

From Library Journal:

In my review of the first set of Ride with Me tapes (Audiovisual Reviews, LJ , November 1, 1988, p. 63), I praised the high quality of the project, and noted, "One can only hope that more tapes will be produced." That wish has now been answered. The Ride with Me tapes are intended for highway travelers who want to know about the history, geology, and geography of the areas through which they are speeding. To make the tapes easy to use, they are keyed to mileposts along I-95 (or, in the case of the Delaware tape, to landmarks along state and federal roads). The narrators do a fine job of presenting their excellent scripts, which are as entertaining as they are informative. One of the high points of the tapes is the obvious effort the producers have made to include more than the usual Chamber of Commerce fluff that is frequently spoon-fed to travelers. The stories of many women and African-Americans are included, and some of the blemishes of these states are noted along with their natural and hand-made beauty. It is a pleasure to report that the quality of this set is every bit as high as the initial offerings. Highly recommended for any audio travel collection.
