About this title

Synopsis:

This family saga, set in the seafaring town of Marblehead, begins after the American Revolution. Citizens struggle to restore the town's position as an important fishing and shipping port and eventually for its mere survival. It's a tale of fearless men of the sea, romance, adventure and family devotion.

About the Author:

The author was born and grew up in Marblehead, the town she writes about in her novel Ride the Restless Tide. From an early age she loved the sea. She also loved music and chose a musical education, studying privately and attending The New England Conservatory of Music. Art and writing were secondary interests, set aside for development later in life. After singing professionally for a few years, she entered the business world. Eventually she became Assistant Employment Manager for the international daily newspaper The Christian Science Monitor. Somewhere along the line she took courses at Vesper George School of Art. Now enjoying retirement on Cape Cod, she is an artist and a writer, Secretary for the Bourne Cultural Council, member of The National League of American Pen Women, active in church work and in local cultural organizations.
