Former vaudevillian and USO entertainer White made a $450,000 profit in 1969, selling his house and adjoining cottage on the Las Vegas Strip to Howard Hughes, who wanted to expand the Desert Inn. A slim vanity press autobiography in unread condition, dated March 28 1985 (the year of publication) warmly inscribed to notable Las Vegas auto dealer Fletcher Jones, and signed in full by the author in blue ink to the copyright page.
