96 pp. No date on copyright page. Contents very tight, clean; there are 6 pages with thin pencil lines along the margins, otherwise no other marks. Black cloth is clean & bright. The top and foredge has scattered foxing. The unclipped dustjacket is edgeworn, soiled, with chips off at corners. The dustjacket's spine has adherred to the length of the spine but otherwise the DJ & flaps come off the body of the book. In this book, the author "examines the possibilities of average man to contact and get an impression of the spiritual world, to attain personally satisfactory answers to questions regarding the nature of our existence."A scarce title. Book Description Dakers ND [1947], London, 1947. First Edition. Hardcover. Small octavo. 96pp. Black cloth lettered in white on spine. Inscribed by the author on front free endpaper. The author, Erik Kule Palmstierna (1877 - 1959), was a Swedish politician and diplomat, with an interest in life after death. In this volume he examines the "possibility of the average man contacting the spirit world". He also wrote "Horizons of immortality; a Quest for Reality". Spine lettering rubbed in places, page-edges foxed & browned, else a solid clean VG +copy in near-VG dust jacket (dust jacket slightly worn & discolored, several short edge-tears, old tape-marks on verso at top-edge).
