Autograph edition, limited to 500 numbered copies (of which this is No. 261, signed by the author on the limitation bookplate on the front pastedown. Red cloth lettered in gilt and decorated in white with tipped on photograph of actor Ralph Stuart en role in the stage presentation. ADDITIONALLY SIGNED BY STUART ON THE FRONTISPIECE PORTRAIT OF HIM. 334 pp. illustrated with eight photographs from the stage play and eight additional drawings by Powell Chase. Adventure/romance novel. A tight, near fine example, all gilt and stamping bright, some light spotting to the cloth. Arthur Marchmont was a best-selling late Victorian-era novelist and "By Right of Sword", first published in 1897, was a best seller for over a decade and was made into a successful Broadway production.
