About this title
"Robbie" traces the humorous stories and incidents of Robbie Millner (self) from the early 1950's to fatherhood in the 1990's. The stories are non-fiction, true accounts of family fun, side trips, vacations, and other events that turned out to be very funny. I created this book to give the reader a refreshing insight into the past, the good ol' days of yesteryear, in an effort to put a smile on their face and chuckle their way through good clean fun.About the Author:
When I think of where we are today compared to the years I was growing up I cringe. We have the technology, the industry, the communications that far exceed our wildest dreams, but do we have the moral fabric of the post WWII years? Are we truly happy or are we consumed with the desire to "get more"? Are we in sync with the hopes and aspirations of our "founding fathers" or are our basic "freedoms" eroding decade by decade? As individuals we have the freedom of choice. Are we accountable for our choices or are we enabling parents? As a product of my own environment, that of the early 1950's, I find myself still married to the same young woman I met in 1979, a man who holds and models a strong belief system of morals and scruples and one who may not be the smartest person on the planet but who knows he has "done his best" and "did it right". As a musician I learned to be well disciplined. As a teacher I have learned to be patient. As a father and husband I have learned how to "give" and place the significant other first. What more could I want in a lifetime of learning, experiencing, creating? God has truly blessed us and I thank him for who I am and what we have, family, friends and continued successes.
