About this Item

Yes, this 690 page beauty, being an increasingly well respected and energetically applauded offering it is proudly presented with great and well deserved hubris by Hirschfeld Galleries in BOTH the publishers original binding and original dustwrapper. The binding is quarter green cloth spine on maroon boards. And this baby is rock solid tigth and clean all the way AAA. The only noticeable detraction and/or enhancement (depending on your taste) is a really nice and neat penned gift inscript on ffep to previous owner. Original glossy black slipcase is also really nice, save for a few little nicks here and there. Great reprint edition of Browning's long dramatic narrative poem from 1868-69. With an introduction by Edward Dowden. Illustrated with 16 Engravings by Carl Schultheiss. Hirschfeld Galleries' offerings such as this one which take on a life of their own and speak so very loudly for themselves. Read to learn and enjoy; go forth to share and enjoin. Research, analysis, dissertation, lucubrations or just enjoyment, this is the one. ACTUAL BOOK FOR SALE PICTURED. PLEASE DOUBLE CLICK ON IMAGE TO ENLARGE. And even if you're not interested at this time, THANKS for looking! Experience the pleasure of reading and appreciating this actual printed item. It has its own physical history that imbues it with a permanent character lacking in transitory electronic renderings. Size: 8vo - over 7 3/4" - 9 3/4". Bookseller Inventory # 007986
