This copy is bound in publisher's original grey paper covered boards wiith blue titling to the spine. There is some spotting to the endpapers but this does not penetrate into the text block. The unclipped dustwrapper is a trifle dusty and has one small closed tear, it has now been covered in clear, removable, protective film. The Rock was a pageant play with words by T. S. Eliot first performed at Sadler's Wells Theatre in London on 28 May 1934. on behalf of the forty-five churches fund of the Diocese of London In a prefatory note Eliot disclaimed full responsibility for the text, saying "I cannot consider myself the author of the "play", but only of the words which are printed here.
