Book Description (Denver CO: Smith-Brooks Printing Company, circa 1915)., 1915. Soft cover. Book Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Oblong large 4to, printed wrappers, front cover with color pictorial image pasted down, as issued, red cord ties, 16 leaves, each with a mounted color plate illustration, with identifying captions printed on versos. Not a specimen of view book, nor of Western illustration, held much in high regard: it's more impressive for its size than for its graphics. N.B. - for any potential buyers out there, it should be understood that the item is too large to fit into a standard sized Priority Mail envelope, and it will therefore need to be mailed by some other method. Book Description THESMITH-BROOKS PRINTING COMPANY, COLORADO, 1913. NUMEROUS ENGRAVERS (illustrator). First Edition. Softbound folio published by THE SMITH-BROOKS PRINTING COMPANY (Colorado) in 1913. Folio contains 13 of the finest engravings in full color that I have seen. Engravings are 9" x 11" with the exception of the first one which measures 6" x 8". Engravings can easily be removed for framing. A small circular discoloration appears in the upper left hand corner of a few engravings. Two engravings are creased at the lower left corner. Engravings offer spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains. Trains travelling through rugged mountains appear in numerous Engravings. Binding is three hole held together with red string. Wraps are dark brown in color. Minor wrinkling and chipping around the edges. There is a stain on the outer edge of the front wrap. Title appears on the front wrap in gilt. A full color engraving appears on the front wrap. Binding is tight with no latent damage. Publication is rated Very Good. Publication is extremely scarce, especially in this condition. 0.0.
