Rebound in green calf; brown panel on front board with vignette of roebuck and hound in gilt; gilt titles on front and spine. Gilt top edge to text block; other edges uncut. Four colour plates (including frontispiece) protected by tissue guards. Solander box with a couple of small marks on the front but no other signs of wear. Boards with a few paler patches where they have been lightly rubbed. Some foxing to preliminary pages; otherwise pages almost entirely clean. 4cm closed tear to frontispiece neatly repaired with archival tape. Binding firm.
