About this title

Synopsis:

In 2010, British artist Roger Hiorns (born 1975) created a dramatic new work for the Art Institute of Chicago. The sculpture consists of two decommissioned aircraft engines, incorporating crushed anti-depressant medication. This pocket-size monograph is the first in a series of books highlighting single contemporary works in the collection of the British Arts Council.

About the Author:

Caroline Douglas is Head of the Arts Council Collection. Tom Morton is a curator and writer living in London. He has been a curator at the Hayward Gallery, London, where he organised exhibitions by Cyprien Gaillard and Matthew Darbyshire, and the group show 'Deceitful Moon'. He also co-selected the important touring exhibition 'British Art Show 7: In the Days of the Comet'.
