WITH WARM LENGTHY INSCRIPTION BY THE AUTHOR DATED OCT. 17, 1928 ON THE FRONT FREE ENDPAPER: "Dear Ada Dwyer Russell/ A token of our mutual oove for the Old Playhouse which your revered father helped to build, in which you began your stage career, and of which nothing will now remain but 'a majestic memory'". 342 pps. illustrated with three-color frontispiece of the theatre, numerous photographic plates and small line drawings in the text. A tight copy, spine strip somewhat faded and trace of wear at the extremities. In dust jacket sunned at the spine which is also well scuffed. Bookseller Inventory # E5675
