About this Item

Colour photographic illustrations throughout, 132pp, index, hardback, some very shelf-wear extremities, neat signatures front free endpaper, a good copy. The discovery of tin in Kuala Lumpur in the late 19th century spurred a rush of miners from China to the burgeoning mining town. In 1855 a young pewtersmith named Yong Koon Seong sailed from the southeastern Chinese port of Guandong to Malaya. His journey led ultimately to the founding of one of the best-known pewter companies in the world, now known as Royal Selangor. This is a fascinating record of events in the history of Royal Selangor including the evolution and style of pewter products over the last 125 years. Bookseller Inventory # 122473

Postage is extra at cost. We are pleased to accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Paypal.

Shipping Terms:

The shipping prices quoted on ABEBooks reflect what we have found to be the "average book". Of course in reality there are many books that do not weigh what an "average book" weighs so there are times when we need to requote shipping, just as there are times when we are in position to refund some of the shipping. Please rest assured we try to get your order to you for a reasonable price, as quickly and as well packed (we carefully pack all of our parcels in book boxes) as possible.
