About the Author:

James (Jim) E. Cox is a retired aerospace physicist who has resided outside of Tucson, Arizona for over eleven years. As a senior physics major at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah, his poems won special recognition in the school¿s literary magazine, The Ellipsis. He is a Distinguished Member of the International Society of Poets and recognized as a Poet Laureate in that society. He is a Professional Member of the Society of Southwest Authors and a long-term member of the SaddleBrooke Writer¿s Group.Jim frequently teaches a class in the SaddleBrooke Adult Education Center called, "From Babel to Bard." His poems have appeared in fourteen chapbooks, newspapers, magazines and many anthologies published internationally by The Poetry Guild¿among which are The Best Poems and Poets of 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003.His website, http://allthatrhymes.squarespace.com. is frequently visited by those who enjoy poetry at it finest. Jim has two other poetry books that have been published by Authorhouse. The Essence of Jim, was published October 15, 2004 and As The Mood Prescribes was published December 6, 2006. Both books present multiple poetic forms and rhyme schemes. Rubai is dedicated strictly to rubai poems, which were for many years his favorite form.
