Book Description Franklin Watts, Inc.,, New York, 1944. Illustrated Boards. Condition: Very Good. 41 p. 31 full-page cartoons, including 26 of Goldberg's famous absurd mechanical sequences interspersed with fictional caricatures such as "Asparagus de Lumbago" offering their comments on the post-war world, with foreword by the cartoonist. One of Goldberg's cartoons shows how to control a female "Sinatra Squealer": "When Bobby-Socker squeals, sound is carried to loud-speaker (A), frightening dog (B); dog jumps, pulling string (C) which turns vertical shaft (D), causing large monkey-wrench (E) to clamp squealer's jaws together, allowing Frankie-Boy to make with the swoons." Small piece chipped from front free blank end paper; otherwise a fine copy of this Rube Goldberg classic. Seller Inventory # 000726
