In many instances, the gem is placed in or near the floral composition - for example, plate #31, the moonstone composition that includes 3 polished moonstones looking like drops of dew emanating from the single flower. There are brief descriptions of 27 gemstones and some gem tales and lore. Arrangements and compositions shown on plates are all described.
