He completed his edition of a Missal in Coptic to correspond in arrangement to that of the Latin service-books for use by his fellow converts to Catholicisim. He was dedicated to editing texts for the benefit of his fellow Egyptians, and remained profoundly attached to much of the Coptic liturgy and to Coptic tradition compatible with Rome but independent of it.
