Bave." In the same hand on the same page is the following: By request of PTA I wrote produced and / directed 2 hr play Spring of 1959 to celebrate / 100th Ann of shooting of Prize Boar / By request of chamber of commerce I rewrote the pageant form to present at County Fair in Aug." Laid in are several pieces: a two-page letter in the same hand headed 2001 Fals Bay Dr / Friday Harbor / WA 98250 / 2-14-94 to a "Mr. Mueller and signed ELB. Revised and Enlarged Third Edition. 8vo. x, 25[3]p. Profusely illustrated with black and white captioned photos. Stapled booklet in photo pictorial wrappers. Slightly faded along the spine and around the top edge of front wrapper, wrappers clean, just a hint of rust on the staples, corners square and flat, else near fine to fine with no internal markings. ALSO LAID IN are several xerox copies of reviews of this play, some of which include photos of Bave; a ketch of the origins of the play, which includes some biography about Bave; a two-page "Ode to a PIG, and the Pioneers!"; a single 8.5 x 14" sheet headed "We William", which purports to be a decision by William, German Emperor, King of Prussia settling a boundary dispute between the governments of Britain and the United States. The letter by Bave to Mr. Mueller was originally included with this copy of the book and describes, among other things, Bave's frustration with her declining abilities and more information about the genesis and continuation of her play. All in all, an unusual assortment of ephemera associated with Emelia L. Bave. Bookseller Inventory # 008094
