Reprint edition. viii, 380 pages. Hardcover; H 19.75cm x L 13.5cm. Pictorial dust jacket illustrated upon front panel and overlapping onto spine, illustrations shows a foreground woman with elbow resting on fence against a forbidding sky and background of a man and barn; front panel retains some vivid color but color is faded along spine. Dust jacket heavily rubbed, shallow chipping at spine and flap fold ends, several short tears along nicked and creased panel edges, soiling to white rear panel; dj now presented in a mylar Brodart protector. Salmon colored cloth, light bumping at spine ends and bottom corners of boards. Toning along edges; deckle fore-edge. Endpapers toned. Occasional foxing on interior leaves but, overall, the pages are quite clean. Past owner's personal bookplate and slender name/address sticker on front free endpaper.
