Bound by Atelier Bindery for Charles Scribner's and Sons, marked thus at top of verso of ffep. Half very deep blue morocco with navy blue cloth. Five raised bands to spine. Gilt lettering and flowers on spine, gilt bands at edges of morocco. Gilt top edge of text block. Blue marbled endpapers. Condition of books is NEAR FINE ; corners very slightly bumped but not at all worn, edges not worn. Leather is clean and supple, and gilding is extremely bright. Cloth is extremely clean and gilt edge of text block very nice, with gilding still bright. On ffep of Vol 1 is a gift inscription to Mother and dated 1925.
