About this Item

4to. (8 x 11")50p. Dated October, 1929. Profusely illustrated with black and white, photos and drawings. Stapled booklet in color pictorial wrappers (both inside and outside). Wrapper very lightly soiled, corners still square, staples show just a bit or rust, else very good to near fine. Pictured and described, including price, are all the official Scout items available in 1929. Interspersed are short narrative vignettes of scouting programs in various countries around the world with the chief characteristics of each country highlighted. Front panel has a color vignette of a scout holding a staff and looking out into the distance and set against a backdrop of mountains and flying gulls. The upper half of the Scout is set against a dark blue circle whose outer band is made up of the different flags of the various countries with Boy Scouts. Across the bottom of the panel on a blue ribbon is the word "Adventure". Rear panel has various color vignettes of scouting activities, as well as drawings of various scout publications. Just an amazing and informative piece of scouting ephemera. Bookseller Inventory # 005407
