About this Item

Very uncommon Racist Magazine devoted to Segregation, Anti-Integration, Anti-Civil Rights etc. The Cover story is SEGREGATIONISTS VOTE NO AUGUST 28TH. 16 Pages. Illustrated with photographs, including a rear cover photo of Nat King Cole and June Christy at Birmigham's Civic Auditorium, the pairing of which the Southerner strongly disaproves of and was responsible for an attack on Cole by Carter's KKK Group. Also a lengthy illustrated article bemoaning and describing a recent Rock and Roll Concert! Very scarce. Ace Carter is, of course 'Forrest Carter'. As per wikipedia.Asa Earl Carter (September 4, 1925 June 7, 1979) was a Ku Klux Klan leader, segregationist speech writer, and later famed western novelist. He is notable under his own name for a famed George Wallace pro-segregation line, and for having run for governor of Alabama on a far-right segregationist ticket. In addition, under the alias of supposedly Cherokee writer Forrest Carter, he is known for having created The Outlaw Josey Wales, a novel that led to a National Film Registry film and The Education of Little Tree, a best-selling, award-winning book which was marketed as a memoir but which turned out to be fiction. Though mostly unsigned I presume the majority of the pieces were penned by Carter. Very scarce, to say the least! ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall. Bookseller Inventory # 279139
